  • A joint university project "WaCoPaS - Warsaw-Cologne-Paris-Simulation" was carried out last semester within the second year MPA concentration "Multilevel Economic Governance" in cooperation with the University of Cologne and the Polish Academy of Sciences. The project consisted of a simulacrum of a negotiation on the Budget Review of the European Union for the period 2014-2018. After three days of negotiations, the participants of the project, simulating a conference of the European Council, finally agreed upon a compromise paper which they formally submitted within the official consultation process of the European Commission. Out of the numerous contributions, the Commission selected the paper as an especially interesting and innovative piece.
You can read the paper here.

In addition to this, the Commission made a video highlighting the variety of contributions they received. An MPA graduate, Gerrit Reininghaus, who was awarded as the best negotiator of the simulation game, participated in this video. The video was shown during the conference on November 12, 2008 at the European Commission within the Budget Review Conference.
